How do I calculate the area of the spherical quadrilateral?

I am taking analysis II and in my homework it's about areas and submanifolds. For one task I have:I should calculate the area of the spherical quadrilateral S ⊂ S2bounded by the meridians −π< ϕ1 < ϕ2 < π and parallels −π/2 < θ1 < θ2 < π/2. I know that we would need to change the diffeomorphism of a sphere a little bit, but I don't know exactly how and why... Then we would have to calculate the gram matrix I guess and integrate... Something like that

I hope some of you can help me with this. Bear with me!

Best regards
